MAY 14, 2009 - TWO EMMY NOMINATIONS!

David Dunlop and Connie Simmons are honored that their PBS series just received 2 Emmy nominations: David was nominated as a writer in the category of Outstanding Special Class Writing and Connie Simmons was nominated as a director in the category of Outstanding Special Class Directing. We could not have received these without the collaboration of all of our fellow artists in the programs, our directors of photograpy, our crew, Connie's husband Jim Krugman, and David's wife Rebecca Hoefer, and the many wonderful artists whose work we discussed. And the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences! Thank you thank you!

This 13 half-hour high definition PBS Series offers an unrivaled blend of art, history, travel, science, philosophy, and technique.  David Dunlop travels to magical locations painted by some of the world's greatest landscape painters.

First,  David discusses who, when, where, how and why they painted. Next, he places his easel at the same place that the artists set their easels and paints that famous landscape himself in the style of the artists, explaining each step of the process, including artistic, technical, optical and perceptual insights - and revealing techniques and secrets of the masters.

If you enjoy our Series, we would love it if you would please contact your local PBS station! Thank you!
